Untitled. II - Buch

Produktinformationen "Untitled. II - Buch"

Untitled. II

A brilliant successor to Untitled. Street Art in the Counterculture, this book about street art has again been created without the collaboration of the artists and certainly without the permission of the wall owners. Works featured are all recent creations and many exhibit the vile passions that rage between old schools and new. There are blatant statements that embody outrageous lies, articles laced with satire, plus cynical synopses of attempts to commercialize street art and make it fashionable via celebrity endorsement. Consideration is given to the question What the hell is it about the color grey that makes it appeal the powers that be and their ridiculous minions? and Outsider Art – is it an expression of artistic impulse without interference from the idea of personal gain?

All of this amongst a collection of graffiti collected from all over the world and preserved on these pages before the legions employed to destroy them chip them off the walls. Artists featured include Banksy, Miss Van, Dan Witz, Ron English, Obey, Blek le Rat, Swoon, Os Gemeos, and Herakut.

Banksy: Myths & Legends Vol 2 - Buch
Banksy: Myths & Legends Vol 2 For many the smoke and mirrors which surround Banksy are as fascinating as the artwork of the 21st century’s most important living artist. Banksy Myths Volume 2 takes the same approach as Vol 1. No single living artist has created as many myths, rumours and legends as Banksy. In 2011 Bristol based writer Marc Leverton teamed up with Carpet Bombing Culture to bring a collection of the best of these stories together. Since then the Banksy juggernaut has continued to roll on spewing out sharp satire, unintentional furores, blatant profiteering, and many more myths and legends. Plus the odd bit of art. For many the smoke and mirrors which surround Banksy are as fascinating as the artwork of the 21st century’s most important living artist. The first edition contained 58 ‘Banksy stories’, many of which have been subsequently verified as being bona fide. Others have remained slightly more tenuous. The second edition takes the same approach. We collect the stories, the reader can judge for themselves. Size: 105mm x 148mmPages: 96Cover: SoftbackISBN-13 978-1908211316

Untitled. - Buch
Untitled. Not to be filed under history, photography, design or non-fiction, as it contains outright lies and outrageous subjective opinion, this book is definitely about street art. It is also about now. Fungus grows on your collected wild-style pioneers. Vile passions rage between old schools and new. Stuff flies out from under the hammer at auction houses and property developers fund street art shows to liberal press fanfare. Oh, and Banksy hits the West Bank. Is anyone taking this thing seriously? Should it be taken seriously? Is it all just an immense daisy chain of poker faces, irony and mind games? Brilliant images of graffiti collected from all over the world and preserved here before the legions employed to destroy them and chip them off the walls. This is art driven by existential hunger, art that attacks you only if you are lame, art that inspires mystery and creativity. 11 Spring St NY was a much-loved site that became a graffiti landmark. Before it was redeveloped it inspired acts of love and passion: Lou Reed made it the subject of a poem and Untitled preserves it in all of its glory.Includes works by Banksy, Faile, Dface, Swoon, Bast, Blu, Blek Le Rat, Obey, Dolk, Eine, Gaia, Elbowtoe, Hush, Copyright, Mir, Dan Witz, Space Invader, Armsrock, Doze Green, Know Hope, Skullphone, WKInteract, Skewville, Borf, Ame72, Sam3, Eelus, Miss Bugs, Rene Gagnon, The London Police, Michael De Feo and many more. Urban Art Berlin. Version 2.0 - Buch
Deutsch / English Kai Jakob Gebunden, 128 Seiten, 120 farbige Fotos Gewicht: 230 g

The Art of Rebellion 4 - Buch
'The Art of Rebellion 4 - Masterpieces of Urban Art ist das neueste Kapitel der bekannten Bestseller-Reihe.

Banksy: Myths & Legends Vol 1 - Buch
Banksy: Myths & Legends Vol 1 No single living artist has created as many myths, rumours and legends as Banksy. Many of the tales in this book are from Bristol, some are from further afield. What they share is that they are all told with the wide eyed wonder which Banksy inspires. Collated between 2009 and 2011 some of these stories are quite old and have been told so many times they have become the stuff of legend, others are more questionable and best described as myths. Some are laugh out loud bollocks and others are simply gossip. You be the judge. Size: 105mm x 148mmPages: 96Cover: SoftbackISBN-13 978-1908211019

Untitled. III - Buch
Untitled. III UNTITLED has previously claimed that Street Art is the most important art movement of our time. It was a deliberately provocative thing to say and they remain unapologetic for it. But the hotly debated question still remains . . . Is Street Art an extension and evolution of Graffiti or a merely a corruption of Graff’s pure rebel yell into an easy to swallow rebel lifestyle? This is Street Art. Make up your own mind. A mix of top quality street art photos and acerbic, witty and sometimes downright obtuse commentary all delivered with a unique flair. Events given in depth coverage include the Agents of Change ‘Ghost Village’ project and the Fame Festival in Grottaglie, Italy. Elsewhere the images and artists chosen mean this book very much charts its own path. Some high profile but ultimately vacuous artworks are ignored to ensure the inclusion of more original and thought provoking work. Think of the editorial policy as operating a kind of BS detector and you’ll understand what is and isn’t likely to be included. – Art of the State Siz: 235mm x 230mmPages: 192Cover: Hardback
